"I was trying to express the hurt of the loss within a relationship and wrote the following short poem today."

Silent Night
a door
slams shut
tears are shed
dreams are shattered
like so many
pieces of glass
they fall; lie
broken on
the ground.
In the silence
of the night
be quiet
be still
If you listen
you will hear it
The sound
of a heart
breaking.
