" I wanted to choose art that told a story. The photo above was originally made by my grandfather in the early 1950s. It needs no caption really. The viewer can put the pieces together and see the story — in the midst of a flood, these men are making the best of a bad situation by putting on their waders and just waiting for it to pass.
Hoping my grandfather is not looking down shaking his head, I digitally altered the photo and added my own quirky touches."
