"the word for ARTWORDS this week is BIRDS and last week it was STORY. i thought i would combine the two and make a story with a bird in it! yah, cheating, i know!

the story on this card, is that i live on the west coast of Canada...the very, west coast...and our winters are mild but wet. i live in the woods with lots of birds around, but the crows and ravens are the ones that facinate me. they are renowned for their cleverness and called the "trickster" in the local native legends. they have an incredible vocal range and have been known to shape and use tools out of bits of wire! "
